Healthcare innovations made in India
The healthcare of the nation defines the strength and effectiveness of its population. At Pfizer, our goal is to introduce and support innovations that will offer better outcomes for patients across the country. We also understand the importance of giving budding companies and innovators a platform to help bring their concepts to market. To effectively meet both these goals, we created INDovation, an end-to-end venture program for healthcare start-ups.
In INDovation, the six start-ups will get a grant of Rs. 65 lacs each and receive incubation support from AIM, NITI Aayog and IIT Delhi. Pfizer will provide the grant as well as mentorship and technical assistance to the start-ups and Social Alpha will provide program acceleration support. This year, focusing on digital healthcare and oncology, INDovation will introduce exciting products that could help change millions of lives.
This unique incubation-accelerator program began with selecting twelve start-ups from our pool of over 200 applicants. Our criteria to choose the best twelve was to see how the company and product could improve the current healthcare infrastructure and offerings.
After shortlisting twelve start-ups, the INDovation jury began another round of rigorous selection. As stalwarts in the healthcare sector, the jury members based their selection of this round on the market viability of the product. With this criteria in mind, the jury was able to finalise the six start-ups gaining the grant money as well as the expert guidance to launch their concept.
Digital Health Track winners
Now, the INDovation journey for these six startups begins in earnest. These finalists will receive funding for their project, along with the guidance and backing of Pfizer to help market their concept. Stay tuned to see who will become the next face of Indian healthcare!
